Closing Ceremony of Minggu Suaikenal Session 1-2024/2025 at POLIMAS

On July 31, 2024, Politeknik Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah (POLIMAS) held the closing ceremony for Minggu Suaikenal Session 1-2024/2025 at Dewan Sri Mas. This event marked the end of the orientation week for new students, designed to introduce them to campus life and prepare them for their academic journey ahead.

The ceremony was officially closed by the Director of POLIMAS, Rosli Idris, who delivered an inspiring speech to the new students. In his address, he emphasized the importance of seizing the opportunities available at POLIMAS to build a successful future.

Also in attendance were the Deputy Director of Academics, Dr. Mhd Azmin Mat Seman, the Deputy Director of Academic Support, Hamizi Yahya, as well as Heads of Departments and Heads of Units at POLIMAS. The presence of the leadership team highlighted the administration’s strong commitment to providing full support to students throughout their studies at POLIMAS.

For this intake, Politeknik Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah (POLIMAS) welcomed approximately 1096 new students, marking a significant addition to the growing POLIMAS community. This intake is particularly special as it aligns with the institution's ongoing Green Movement initiatives.

As part of POLIMAS’s commitment to sustainability, the new students can actively participate in various green initiatives on campus, including energy conservation projects, waste management programs, and promoting sustainable practices in their daily lives. The involvement of a larger student body in these initiatives will amplify the impact of the Green Movement, ensuring that the institution not only reduces its environmental footprint but also educates and empowers the next generation of green leaders.

Integrating the Green Movement into the student experience at POLIMAS underscores the institution’s dedication to creating a sustainable future. With each new intake, POLIMAS continues to build a community that is both academically accomplished and environmentally conscious, contributing to Malaysia’s broader goals of achieving a low-carbon economy.

The closing ceremony was lively and full of enthusiasm, reflecting the unity and strength of the POLIMAS community as they welcomed the new generation of students who will continue the institution's tradition of excellence.
